The renovation of The Oslo Hotel (c1859) into 5 separate 3-level houses as part of The Block 2019. The project included retaining & restoring the Heritage Listed front terraces, demolition of the rear outbuildings & the conversion of the heritage listed stable building in the rear into undercover carparks with a studio/bedroom above. A lift was introduced to each house in the existing section of the main building, and brand new extensions were constructed on a concrete slab with lightweight Truecore steel framing to facilitate an open-space living & dining area complete with an internal courtyard for natural lighting.

On the top of each extension, a walkway to a rooftop deck was built which presented views to the bay and across the Melbourne CityLine.
